Knowledge 16 was "Ah-mazing"

A highlight of Knowledge16

Last week the AllThingsITSM podcast team had the pleasure of recording interviews at Knowledge16 – The annual ServiceNow User conference in Las Vegas. There were a lot of conversations centred on DevOps, but one stood out for all of us.

I have to say that one of the highlights for me, and I think probably for co-hosts Carlos Casanova and Charles Betz, was having the opportunity to sit down with Gene Kim and talk DevOps.

The intersection of DevOps and ITSM

Gene is one of a handful of people in our industry who has achieved rock star status, and for good reason. He is an innovator, a leader and someone who gives freely of his time to inspire others.

We had a really good discussion around the intersection between DevOps and ITSM. Gene talked about the need to create capability in the Service management community around DevOps. We need these skills to deliver real business outcomes.

Watch the video!

We need to stop the fear of developers, agile lean and the rest in the ITSM community…there is nothing to be afraid of!

Take a look at the conversation – it is well worth 12 minutes and 40 seconds of your time.
