OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day client activities for the assigned property/facility. This person may have oversight of multiple locations. The candidate must be able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, effectively manage through stressful situations, and consistently make effective, high quality decisions; must understand complex client and customer relationships and develop and effectively manager client and customer relationships, and open, effective and consistent communication with client and customer representatives. The candidate will have overall responsibility for a team of highly skilled technicians as well as site budgets, accounting and finance, maintenance and operations, contract services, purchasing of material, equipment and supplies purchases, and occupancy services, administration and occupancy services and help desk.

This position is responsible for overseeing all facilities management for a specific site(s) by ensuring client satisfaction with client Facility/Property Management by providing a seamless interface into a client's real estate through organization. The Senior Facility Manager demonstrates leadership, responsiveness, and creativity

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide leadership and development opportunities for a highly functioning team
  • Effective management of supplier base to attain cost savings targets and support spending initiatives with Maximize utilization of suppliers and preferred vendors/contractors
  • Manage all aspects of the facilities service delivery system on the client project
  • Support the Regional Manager in the implementation of short and long-term projects for the client
  • Develop and implement innovative programs, processes and procedures that reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity by working closely with the Facility Management Lead and the client
  • Oversee the appropriate monthly/quarterly/annual reporting appropriate for the client
  • Oversee the development and management of the capital and expense budgets by interfacing closely with the client representative
  • Oversee the development and manage the detailed, zero-based annual operating budgets for each building under your supervision
  • Develop monthly/quarterly variance reporting on all operating budgets for each property on a timely basis
  • Assist with the development and implement the annual management plan for the buildings within the area
  • Oversee the operation, staffing, performance and development of the Facility Management service delivery staff
  • Coordinate discussions with each direct report regarding goal setting, performance reviews, career development planning and incentive/salary administration
  • This position requires interaction with the Account Leadership team, Client, Vendors, Operational, and Account Support staff and will be a fast paced environment consistent with handling multiple demands and priorities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management with management/technical emphasis
  • Minimum of 10 years industry experience required either in the corporate environment, third party service provider, or as a consultant
  • Experience with managing multiple vendors and small capital projects
